Unity
Community unity will be of paramount importance and will not be compromised.
The community members associated with the Islamic Masumeen Center of New England have assembled since the mid-1980s. In 1995 the center was established as the IMCNE at its current location. The center is operated by Imamia Muslim Foundation, a non-profit 501c3 registered religious organization.
Currently, more than 100 families are affiliated with the center. A well-attended Islamic Masumeen Sunday School operated by the parents is associated with the center. The center also hosts weekly Jumma Salaat on Fridays and Dua Kumail on Thursday evenings. There is a daily Iftaar program during the month of Ramadan. To accommodate congregants of all ages, the center hosts parallel English and Urdu speeches during the 1st ten days of Muharram. In addition, religious services happen on all important Islamic dates.
The IMCNE also organizes community events like the MLK day program and blood drives and actively participates in local town events.
The community members also have a very active burial committee.
The Organization’s principal purpose is to establish and maintain a religious institution in the Community in order to practice, preach and propagate the religion of Islam in accordance with the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAWAS) and his Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
We, a community of Shi`a Ithna Ashari Muslims of New England, seek to establish a religious community that fosters the religious, intellectual, moral, and social ideals of Islam. We seek the Almighty Allah’s blessings for our endeavors to maintain a representative organization that will provide an opportunity for the fullest religious, spiritual, educational, social and communal development of the individual, the family and the Shi`a Ithna Ashari Muslim community in New England.
